Aberdeenshire, in North-East Scotland is, in my view, one of the most scenic Scottish counties. It does not have the grandeur of the Western Highlands but it makes up for this with a sunnier climate and lots of trees. It has most types of scenery from dramatic coastal rock formations to the mountain scenery of the Cairngorms.  We are lucky to live here. The galleries here include images on a number of different themes:

  • Aberdeen: the city and its environs
  • Autumn: some of the fabulous autumn colours that we see in Aberdeenshire
  • Coast: the coastal scenery north and (mostly) south of Aberdeen
  • Outlook: images taken in and overlooking the field next to our house
  • River: the River Dee, from its source in the Cairngorms to the sea
  • Stonehaven: a coastal town to the south of Aberdeen
