Opinions

This was originally intended to be a blog of sorts. However, I never managed to post even semi-regularly so it’s simply a few articles setting out my opinions on issues such as the environment and the future of Scotland.

As I have grown older, I have not followed the traditional route of becoming more conservative - I’m pleased to say that I’m now more radical than I was 20 years ago.

My pet hate is people, particularly journalists and politicians, who believe that there are simple solutions to complex problems. In short, if you think there is a simple solution to a complex problem (and most social and environmental problems are complex), then either you don’t understand the problem or you are a charlatan.
